Water Damage at a Hair Salon

SERVPRO of Sherman/Denison was contacted by the property manager of this large strip center on Sunday morning. The employees had arrived to work, opened the door and were standing in about an inch to two inches of water throughout their salon.

Water from the hot water heater had leaked out overnight and had saturated most all of the hair salon rooms. Multiple types of flooring was involved as well.

Our technicians arrived onsite in an hour and started the extraction process. After the standing water was extracted, baseboards were removed to expedite the drying process.  Then all of the air movers and dehumidifiers were placed throughout the building. This was a commercial property that had commercial carpeting as well with no pad under it.

The property is drying to standards and soon they will have the baseboards reattached and the carpet cleaned.
